Show '"Newlyweds To Make A Home In Tro-vo Miss Helen Pate, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph. Pate of Mapleton, exchanged wedding vows with Lavern Rhoades of Provo, in the Logan temple I a si frriday. Immediately after their mar- riage, the couple were honored with a wedding dinner at the home of an uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Longhurst at Logan Lo-gan and they left shortly after on a honeymoon trip to Yellowstone Yellow-stone Park. The bride wore a lovely handmade hand-made gown of white nylon for her wedding in the temple. The bridegroom is a graduate of Duchesne high school and also attended the B. Y. U. He served four and a half years overseas in World War II. The bride is a graduate of the Springville high Mrs. Gwen Allan of Mapleton was a recent visitor at Cedar City, spending the time with a sister and brother, Alice and Alex Williams. Wil-liams. Mr. and Mrs. Grant Thorn and family and Mrs. Sarah Dalton returned re-turned on Friday of the past week from a two weeks vacation trip to the Northwest. They went by boat to Victoria viewing Mt. Ran-ier, Ran-ier, Spokane and Grand Coulee Dam and were house guests of Mr. and Mrs. Vern Dalton at Seattle, Wash. school. Among the pre-nuptial events honoring the bride was a showeer held at the Mapleton church and attended by a large crowd, of relatives rel-atives and friends. The crowd was greeted by tiny ReNee Farr and David Pate, dressed to represent the bride and groom.. ' A delightful program and refreshments re-freshments featured the enter-) tainment and the bride was presented pre-sented with many lovely wedding gifts. The couple plan to make their home in Provo. |
