Show J ' mmm Married Fifty Years ... ' v - Open House Tuesday To Mark (Jolden Wedding ' V,- Vs ... ,? , , - i 1 ? Marion F. and Ella Dalton Miner Min-er will celebrate their golden wedding wed-ding anniversary next Tuesday, Feb. 6th. They plan to hold open house, and would like all their friends, neighbors and relatives rela-tives to call, either in the afternoon after-noon or evening. Both Mr. and Mrs. Miner were born in Springville and have always al-ways made their home here, although al-though for fourteen years, while in the construction business, they spent four years in Montana, Idaho Ida-ho and Washington, while ten years were spent nearer home. During their early married life, they operated a meat and grocery business for fifteen years in this city. They were married in the Salt Lake temple in 1895, and have always al-ways taken an active part in church work. Mr. Miner has served in the presidency of the Elders quorum; superintendent 'of the Sunday school, first aid in the Genealogy Society, and is now a high priest in Kolob stake, and is assisting in the church welfare. He served for a number of years as captain of the Springville-Map-leton Black Hawk Indian War vet- Mr. and Mrs. M. F. Mr. Miner has also been Springville city marsh-all marsh-all and held the same position for a time in Hiawatha. Mrs. Miner has been a teacher in practically every auxiliary organization or-ganization in the church and has served as president of the Y. L. M. I. A., and the Primary organization organi-zation in the Second ward and at Hiawatha. At one time, Mr. and Mrs. Miner Min-er turned their home into a hospital hos-pital and Mrs. Miner did outstanding outstand-ing nursing for many in the community. com-munity. Mr. and Mrs. Miner have done considerale traveling. A few years ago, they made a trip east across the continent and the same year, visitd the temple in Canada and then traveled south to the temple in Arizona, and later, went on into in-to Mexico. They also attended the last World's Fair in California and made a trip at that time into the Northwest. Three of the couple's seven sons and daughters are living. They are Mrs. Wanda Jensen, Mapleton; Eugene Miner, Springville; Mrs. Marian Wright, Burley, Ida. They also have ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Three of their grandsons are serving in the , armed forces. |
