It does not necessarily neces-sarily keep them from making a living and leading an active life. But it is well to know your limitations limi-tations and not go beyond the point of fatigue. There are many useful, nay seemingly indispensable people, who shorten their lives by doing this from day to day, until they bankrupt their physical bank ac- der to see so many who are literally lit-erally wasting their lives? There are well-meaning folks who are so self-centered and dominated dom-inated by fear, that they are afraid to fatigue themselves the least bit. Wingate Todd of Cleveland, Ohio, "All in all, the work he did meant more health and happiness for literally thousands upon thousands of people." But Doctor Todd was in" the prime of his life when he died. We may not know as much as we 'should know about what fatigue fa-tigue does to the body, but it seems safe to say that he simply worked himself to death. He had been spending from 12 to 20 hours in his laboratory each day, ignoring ignor-ing warnings that he ought to take an extended rest.- Death struck him down in the midst of his career, in the very prime of his life. What a pity! That one whose work would have saved so many other lives should have been so regardless of his own. Yes! it is a pity, but is it, not infinitely sad- |
