Show FUNERAL SERVICE HELD FOR JOHN W. SMITH Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon in the Fifth ward at the Second ward chapel, for John Williard Smith, 78, who died Friday at the family residence, resi-dence, 480 East, Second South St. Burial was in the Evergreen cemetery, directed by the Claudin Funeral home. Mr. Smith was born in Springville Spring-ville Feb. 24, 1866, a son of William Wil-liam and Mary Jane Davis Smith. He had always lived here. Until fifteen years ago, he followed the occupation of blacksmith. He was married to Mrs. Amanda Aman-da Jane Harris on May 1, 1911. Survivors include his widow and five sons, D. A. and Arnold Smith, Los Angeles, Calif.; Leo and William Wil-liam Smith, Springville; Elmer Smith, Spanish Fork; the following follow-ing stepsons and stepdaughters, E.L. and Daus Moore, Mrs. Max-ine Max-ine Blackett and Mrs. Bernice Nelson, Los Angeles, Calif.; Mrs. Grace Hardock, Magna; Mrs. Flora Flo-ra Lewis and Mrs. Rela Rowland, Row-land, Provo; Mrs. Maudie Brere-ton, Brere-ton, Springville; three brothers and a sister, George, Frank, and Jerd Smith, and Mrs. Lucy Robertson, Rob-ertson, Springville. |
