Judge Dismisses Suit Against Loca! Policemen Judge Joseph E. Nelson of Provo, dismissed the suit filed by Ivan D. Pierce against Chief of Police H. M. Weight and Officer Meade Weight Friday in Fourth district. Judge Nelson ruled that the officers' of-ficers' actions were in line with performance of their duty and that the plaintiff failed to file bond or written undertaking as required und er the state law. Pierce had charged that the two officers entered his home without order and warrant and took custody cus-tody of- two minor children last December 26. The officers reported that they were asked to o to the Pierce home and maintain law and order while Mrs. Pierce and a brother-in-law took the children from the home. The two officers as well as the Judge maintained the officers were performing- their duty as officers in going to the home and maintaining order while the children child-ren were removed. Pierce had asked for $15,000 damage from the officers and $2000 from Maryland Casualty Co., holders of the peace officer's bonds.
