Show 'Chairman Reports On Bend Sales During Past Month After dropping off sharply in Feruary to $803,530, Series E bonds jumped back to $1,133,934 for the state in March, Charles L. Smith, state chairman, announced. This makes up for some of the February Febru-ary losses, since it is more than $300,000 above the February figure, fig-ure, and compares with $1,019,971 E bond sales in 1949. Total sales for the state in E, F and G bonds amounted to $1,-399,163 $1,-399,163 in March of 1950 compared with a total of $1,248,919 in March of 1949. Sales in E bonds in Utah county in March of 1950 amounted to $50,144 compared to a sale of $70,975 in February 1950, it was announced by H. J. Heisch, local chairman of U. S. bond sales. An attempt is being made to keep sales during April above the 1949 figure In order to make up the earlier losses this year and put the state on an even keel going into the Independence Drive of 1950, during which Utah must sell $2,316,000 purchase price of bonds between May 15 and July 4 in order to meet its share of the national na-tional quota. |
