Show 5 Darlene Norton To Go On Mission; Farewell Sunday In honor of Miss Darlene Norton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Carl Norton, who is leaving soon to fill a mission in the North Central I " : . ; r V - 'Jr ' iV- a - & r ' & , V ' : ' 1 jf J Darlene Norton States, a farewell testimonial will be conducted in the Second-Eighth ward chapel Sunday evening, sponsored spon-sored by the Second ward. The meeting is to begin at 7:30 p.m. and all friends and, members of the" ward are invited. After congregation singing, "I'll Go Where You Want Me To Go," Merlin Norton will give the invocation. invo-cation. The sacrament song will be, "My Prayer." Don Gottfredson will sing a vocal solo followed by talks by Howard Maycock and Jacob Ja-cob Felix. Mrs. Mary Bird will give a piano solo and remarks will be made by Mr. Norton, father of the, missionary and by Bishop Oliver Oli-ver Dalton. The missionary will respond. An accordion quartet, "Til We Meet Again," will be played by Inez Biggs, Frances Peterson, Max-ine Max-ine Croft, and Darlene. The closing prayer will be offered by Gerald W. Bills. The departing missionary will go on to the mission home May 8 and shortly after will leave for her mission headquarters. She has been active in church work serving as a Sunday School teacher and Sunday School secretary. secre-tary. She graduated from the high school and from the Seminary and for the past three years has been employed by the Springville Banking Bank-ing Company. |
