Show CIVIL WAR SURVIVORS A tally of Government and vet- ; eran organization rolls reveals that a total of forty veterans survive sur-vive America's Civil War. Of the total, 17 are Union bluecoats and j 23 are the gray-clad Confederates. This is a decrease of more than ; one-third in the last year. Oldest of the Union survivors is James A. Hard, Rochester, N. Y., who will be 108, on July 15, while John T. Graves, inmate of a Confederate Con-federate Home, Higginsville, Mo., was 108 on January 1. |
