I .. : -.-.J Rea Bleggi Mapleton Jaycee Wives Elect New Club Heads Mrs. Rea Bleggi has been elected president of the Mapleton Jaycee Wives, it was announced this week following a regular meeting Monday Mon-day evening. Other officers include, Mrs. Ne-ola Ne-ola Steiner, vice-president; Mrs. Janet Carnesecca, secretary-treasurer; Mrs. Delia Christensen, 2-year 2-year director, Mrs. Mary Bleggi is the holdover director and Mrs. Loeen Whiting, who is the retiring retir-ing president, automatically becomes be-comes a director. The meeting was held at the home of Mrs. Beth Bird, with the green color group in charge, Mrs. Arlene Antonino, chairman. It was decided during the meeting meet-ing that the group would contribute contrib-ute $25 to the Mapleton PTA toward to-ward the purchase of a projector for the school. 1 ' Assisting with " the meeting arrangements ar-rangements were, Mrs. ' Marie Johnson, Mrs. Bernice Carnesecca. Will Llewellyn of Rupert, Ida., spent a few days of the week visiting vis-iting relatives and friends here and in Mapleton and Provo. He reports re-ports that Mrs. Mae W. Johnson, who has been staying with them during the winter, is feeling much better than when she left last fall. Mr. and Mrs. Mark Law returned return-ed Tuesday evening from California, Califor-nia, where they visited relatives and friends the past week. They spent most of the time with their son, Dale, who is attending the University of Southern California. Californ-ia. He expects to graduate in the spring with a major in apparel designing and art. During their stay they toured throughout Los Angeles, visiting numerous places of interest and beauty. Henry Maiben of Panguitch was visiting friends and relatives here Sunday. He came especially to attend at-tend the funeral services for his grandmother Mrs. Mary Z. Hatfield. Hat-field. Henry is teaching music in the Panguitch high school. A large number of out-of-town relatives and friends were in Springville Sunday to attend fun- Hatfield including among whom were: Reubin Mangelson, Mr. and Mrs. Romaine Mangelson and Mr. and Mrs. Golden Mangelson of Levan; Mr. and Mrs. Jack Brough of Nephi; Mr. and Mrs. Vern Hatfield Hat-field of Salt Lake City; Mr. and Mrs. Ed Richardson of Provo; Mr. and Mrs. David Richardson of Salt Lake City. Mrs. Josephine C Whipple has returned to Springville for an Indefinite In-definite visit and is staying at the home of Mr. and Mrs. A. Y. Wheeler. Whee-ler. She has spent the past winter in Wichita, Kan.' Mrs. Whipple's first visit here was five years ago, when her husband died suddenly, as they were touring the country. She stayed for a while then and returned for a short visit later. , Mrs. Mary natch has just returned re-turned from St. George, Utah's Dixie, where she spent the week end and has a different story about the weather. Three or four inches of snow fell there Friday night, and a blizziard, she reports. Mrs. Hatch visited a brother who is ill and also spent some time with a sister and brother-in-law, who are stake missionaries to the St. George Temple. Mr. and Mrs. Bert West have just returned from a 10-day vacation trip to California. They visited in Los Angeles and southern California Calif-ornia points of interest and went down to Tijuana, Mexico, before returning home. |
