Show Social News Notes j I Mapleton Jayree Wives were well represented at the Fashion Revue sponsored by the Spanish Fork club last Wednesday evening, even-ing, with nine ladies and two special guests attending. Going from Mapleon were: Mrs. Loeen Whiting, president; Mrs. Rea Bleggi, Mrs. Mary Bleggi, Mrs. Arlene Antinino, Mrs. Neola Stein-er, Stein-er, Mrs. Norma Canto and Mrs. Beth Bird. Special guests going with the Mapleton girls were Mrs. Lena Sowards of Monasa, Colo., and Mrs. Nelma Jensen. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Whiting had as their guests the past week, Mrs. Gene Mortensen and Mr. and Mrs. Elwin Sowards and baby of Monasa, Colo. They came especially espec-ially to attend the district M Men tournament. Among the out-of-town members mem-bers of the family and other relatives rel-atives who came to Springville for funeral services for Mrs. Bernice Fullmer Harper last Thursday, were: Lawrence Harper and son Kent of Redlands, Calif., Mr. and Mrs. V. A. Smith of Highland, Calif., Nancy Smith of San Francisco; Fran-cisco; Mrs. Marion Tragott of Tacoma, Wash.; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Jewett, Glen S. Fullmer, Mr. and Mrs. George Meason and three children and Mrs. Etta Pax-man Pax-man of Tacoma, Wash.; Mr. and Mrs. Allan Fullmer of Salt Lake City, Carol Eve Miner of Magna, Virginia Henricks of Tooele. Mrs. J. W. Grant of Cour deAlenc, Idaho, Id-aho, Mr. and Mrs. Roscoe Harper of Eureka, Mr. and Mrs. Bill All-mark, All-mark, Mr. and Mrs. McNeeley, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Andrews of Bingham, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Butte of Salt Lake City, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Towers of Murray, Mr. and Mrs. Jean Millner and family of Bingham, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Ferry of Vineyard, Mr. and Mrs. Lyman Smith of Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove. - Mrs. Louisa Wainwright left Monday to make her home in Salt Lake City. A son, John Wain-wright Wain-wright and wife and three granddaughters grand-daughters live in Salt Lake City, but Mrs. Wainwright will have her own apartment. Richard Miller, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Miller is spending a few days furlough with his parents par-ents and other relatives and friends in Springville. He has been sta- tionecl at Damp folk, i,a. Mrs. Edward DeVoe and children chil-dren left recently to join their husband and father stationed with the Naval Reserve Training group at Cadillac, Mich. Mrs. DeVoe was the former Irene Bird of Mapleton. Maple-ton. Mrs. Carol Clark now of Monroe j visited briefly with her parents, I Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Cherrington, here the past week enroute to ! Logan to attend the 4-H club training school. She took her young son with her while the two daughters enjoyed the time with their grandparents' here. Mr. and Mrs. Louis Clark had as their guests the past week, Capt. and Mrs. Henry Bierbaum and three children, who have been stationed in the Phillipines the past two and a half years. Mrs. Bierbaum will be remembered as the former Mary Ann Kohle, whose first husband, George, son of Mrs. Clark, lost his life in World War II. Mrs. Charles Turner and two children, accompanied her brother Richard Oakley back , to Springville Spring-ville from their home in Denver and will visit her a few days. Mrs. L. A. Johnson of Mapleton is home from a 10-day visit with two daughterrs, Mrs. W. W. Selck and Mrs. J. D. Nebel and families at Idaho Falls, Ida. ' Pfc. Albert D. Fifield, 377 South Eighth East, is among 14 servicemen service-men at Randolph Field, Texas, enrolled en-rolled in the School of Aviation Medicine elementary shorthand classes, it was reported from the base this week. The men engage in long-hours off-duty practice in efforts to further their education. The classes may be used as high school and college credit, it was stated.
