Show LETTER CARRIERS TO SEEK HIGHER PAY DENVER, July 13. A resolution asking: a permanent salary increase from $1"00 to J2000 per year for all letler carriers In the state was passed at the annual convention here today of the Colorado .State Association of Letter Carriers. Other requests which will be made to the postal authorities at Washington, provided pro-vided the resolutions are indorsed by the National Letter Carriers' association, are for thirty-day vacations and ninety-day sick leaves, with full pay; double time for overtime; pensions for aecl letter carriers, and conferences between postal : officials and representatives of the na- : tional association. j The convention also voted favorably upon a proposal asking letter curriers' locals to affiliate with the Colorado Fed- , eration of Labor. A resolution was passed ; asking the government to secure uni- forms for carriers at cost. The conven- tion protested against the "speeding' up i system." |
