Show s TRADE BARRIERS PARTLY RAISED Rhineland Commission Authorizes Au-thorizes Restricted Dealings Deal-ings With Interior. COBLENZ, Saturday, July 12 (By the Associated Press. j "i lie interallied JRhineland commission today issued a notice to civilians in the occupied areas that trade would be reestablished immediately im-mediately between the interior of Germany Ger-many and the occupied areas, under certain restrictions. This action was raken after official notification from Pans that the blockade had been lifted. Under the orders of the commission I he importation' of arms into the Khincland is forbidden. Shipments of coal and coke would continue under present regulations. The commission announced that it would prohibit, except ex-cept by special permit, the removal of 20,000 tons of dvestuffs and chemical products in the Ehineland. These goods will bo guarded by allied soldiers. Ninety per cent of all the dyes made in German' were manufactured on the left bank of the Rhino before the war. The export of gold, silVer and platinum plat-inum in coin or bullion and of foreign securities also is forbidden. As , the lihineland is held in trust as a mortgage mort-gage for the payment of the indemnity bv Germanv, nothing that might reduce the value of the mortgage can be exported ex-ported unless and until the allied powers pow-ers decide otherwise. |
