Reuben Clark, Jr., addressed an audience of about IjOl) at the Osden tabernacle tonight to-night on the league of nations covenant. cove-nant. A part of Major Clark's talk was devuted to answering the arguments advanced ad-vanced bv 11. H. Roberts, who spoke In favor of the league at Salt Lake this week. He denied that ho had any sympathy sym-pathy with Germany and cited instances which he claims showed he had always been opposed to the policies of the Teutons. "Some of ir.v crlt:e opponents," he continued, con-tinued, "have' suid that 1 am biased. I suppose I am in this one sense, that I take a different view from them. I have a right to tht view without attack or assail. Some have spoken of blundering logic. I do tho best with tho Information Informa-tion that 1 have." Mayor T. S. Browning Introduced the speaker. Music was furnished by l.ucy Gates and J. J. McClellan. The Southern South-ern Pacific band gave an open-air concert con-cert immediately preceding the meeting. |
