Show WELCOME-HOME FETE HELD AT BLACKFOOT; BLACK FOOT, Idaho, Sept. 11. B'ack- j foot entertained its largest crowd in y-;irs i in a welcome home to soldiers, marines : and saiior.s VL-.-'terdy. A parade started j at 10:30 o'clock, after which a program I was rendered at the courthouse. I About 150 men in uniform were in the parade. Among the conspicuous floats were those of the Red Croa.s and War Mothers. The former adopted the Popular Popu-lar Red Cross war poster, "The Greatest Mother of All." with Miss Vera Benzley actir.r the principal part. The War Mothers' float pictured the Goddess of liberty, with Miss Ora Uodtjers, a soldier and sailor on either side. A ''round -up" was held at the fair grounds in the afternoon, and in the evening eve-ning dancing on the pavements, platform and hails, with band concert, continued until rnidnipht. |
