Selberling, president of the Goodyear Tire & Rubber company, j learned that it would ba Impossible for ! the army to secure a band of enlisted j men, he promptly donated the services of the Goodyear Tire & Rubber company factory band. These men are all tire builders and were picked out of a fifty-eight-piece J band to make the trip to San Francisco 1 with the convoy. 1 Alter a hard day's dusty and hot drive I over the roads, the men in the army train need to bo cheered up, and it Is the aim of the Goodyear band t play for tin soldiers each evening as they come into the town scheduled for their night's rest. Jn addition to this sort of stimulation , for the transport men, the bandsmen give concerts each evening in the parks. Last night they played in Liberty park. The band is traveling in a veritable limousine.
