Show St Luncheon Served Solons at White House (Chicago Tribune Special Service.) WASHINGTON, Aug. 22. It was a "stag" luncheon that President Wilson gave to members of the senate foreign relations committee com-mittee today, following the White House treaty conference, so Mrs. Wilson was left to lunch alone. However, How-ever, she quickly arranged for a little lit-tle impromptu luncheon of her own, and invited as her guests Joseph P. , Tumulty, secretary to the president, and Raymond T. Baker, director of j the mint. I All the senators who attended the I conference were present at the pres-1 pres-1 ident's luncheon except Senator Fall, who asked to he excused because be-cause of an engagement with Mrs. Fall, who is in ill health. The luncheon was marked by congeniality con-geniality aaid rather informal discussion dis-cussion of the treaty and league, j It was at the luncheon that it wa3 I decided that a further session of the I conference would not be held. |
