Show HOTEL ffl VISITORS; SALT LM TOURED Eastern Greeters of America Amer-ica Guests Yesterday of Local Members. A -special car containing' eastern members mem-bers of the Greeters of America stopped in Salt Lake yesterday en route- home from the annual convention -which was recently held at Portland, Ore. Ralph Loughborough, president of the Utah charter No. 15 of the Greeters. and other local members of Ihe organization met the visitors and took them on a sightseeing sight-seeing trip through the city. They were entertained at luncheon by B. Li. Ramey, manager of the Wilson hotel. So pleased were about I en of the visitors with Halt Lake that they canceled can-celed their reservations for the eastern Journey and will stay here several days sightseeing-. - Whde in Portland the Salt Lake delegation dele-gation was presented with a silver loving cup because of the large delegation hi proportion to total membership which the local charter sent to the convention. The National Greeters held their annual, convention con-vention in Salt Lake in 1916 and many of this year's visitors were here three years ago. The Salt 'Lake party who attended the Portland convention were Mr. and Mrs. W. P. Bressingham of the Cullen. O. A. Dusenherry of the Xewhouse, Mrs. William Wil-liam Coulam and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Loughborough. The 1920 convention will be held at Colorado Springs in June. |
