Show HOMER S. CillS TO WWM National Democratic Chairman Chair-man and Party Will Arrive Ar-rive Thursday. - POCATELLO, Idaho. July 8. Local Democrats are making preparations for the coming to this city the latter part of the week of National Democratic Chairman Chair-man Homer S. Cummlngs and party of Democratic leaders. The party will reach the city from the west Thursday evening. Mr. Cummings and party will be preceded .to Pocatello by Vice Chairman J. Bruce Kremer, who will be the first speaker at a public meeting meet-ing to be held sat 8:30 o'clock In Mc-Nichols Mc-Nichols & Wright's hall. The remainder of the party, will reach the city from the west at 9 p. m. Chairman Cummlngs and Mrs. Elizabeth Eliza-beth Bass, national chairman of the women's Democratic organization, will open headquarters in the Bannock hotel, where they will receive Idaho party workers work-ers from seventeen southeastern counties during the day. At 2 o'clock in the afternoon af-ternoon a banquet Is to be given at the Bannock cafe in honor of the visitors, which wil lbe attended by prominent workers of the southeastern part of the state. In the party are Chairman Homer S. Cummlngs, Mrs. George Bass, chairman of the women's organization ; J. Bruco Kremer, vice chairman; W. D. Jameson, director of finance; W. J. Cochran, director di-rector of publicity; W. R. Holllster, executive ex-ecutive secretary, and Charles F. Ma-gulre, Ma-gulre, private secretary to Mr. Cummings. Cum-mings. At the meeting Thursday evening the principal theme of discussion, it Is understood, un-derstood, will be the league of nations topic. Prominent women of the city are making mak-ing preparations to entertain Mrs. Bass during her stay in the city. 1 |
