This stringer is expected ex-pected to connect with the shaft ore body. The raise is now about thirty feet above the level. From the same " level, slope 40i is having a raise put up Horn the stop cn the lime-shale contact from the I pot wall. This raise shows a full faue ; of good grade ore. Stoping at Depth. Stope 4G6 has been started again and work is being prosecuted on a cross fracture frac-ture making back into the footwall, behind be-hind the square sets In the stope from the fifth level, 503 raise is showing the same size of ore bodv and carries the same values as shown close to the level. , Crosscut 502 is being advanced with two , shiits of miners at work, and shows ten fe.t of ore making into the hanging wall. This work is directly against the east fault. In the Consolidated work a raise has just teen started on the east ore body from the fifth level. The raise is being ex tended from the point where the ore was first exposed in the south crosscut. A full face of ore shows in the raise. In the development work from the third level ijxv t'ett of ore of good milling grade, free milling, shows in the drift being ex-tfnde-:! upon the mud ledge. A raise on the high grade ore body from the 300 is now up from sixty feet above the level and shews from five to six feet of ore, also free milling. About one-half of the ore is of shipping grade, carrying a lot of specimen rock. Union Amalgamated. The work in the Amalgamated has been confined in the past few days to extending ex-tending the southeast crosscut from the 700-foot level of the shaft. The crosscut cross-cut is nows out from the shaft a distance dis-tance of twenty-three feet and at the present rate of progress the fault which carries t he Earle ore body should be crossed before another week passes. The water sump below the bottom level has been put in for a depth of fifteen feet below the level. The station has been completed and everything is in shape to rush the lateral work now being carried on. The milling of the over-sized dump on the Big Pine has teen resumed after a few days' delay caused by the failure of the tube mill liners to arrive on time i from the coast. The mill resumed work ; last Tuesday and has been grinding up the ore without any further Uelavs, two i shifts in the mill handling on an average of twelve tons per hour. |
