Show ! Alluring Appeal of Open Car Wins Motorists J I The torrid season is making itself quite obnoxious throughout the length and breadth of the land; but to the motcr fan who prefers the open type of car, it has little meaning. A motor I trip through any of the shaded canyons of the intermountain country, is not only one way of cheating the heat demon, but is a "joy rido" of real merit and healthful purpose. The closed car has its advantages in stormy weather; but the fresh air devotees prefer to take chances with an open gas buggy, top down and wind-shield slanted at a rakish angle. S Where no breeze may he found to stir the leaves or bend a single blade of grass, the open motor car will kick up a wind of great proportions if accelerated only slightly. Truly the motor car, 5 open or enclosed, is man's greatest contribution to the joy, efficiency and progress of the world. j I C?i - ..vKivJr w TVltt 'lf.v5 P"! k t'.
