Show BRIEF HISTORY OF VALVOLINE OILS The popularity of Valvoline motor oils and greases in the intermountain district calls for some explanation, says Joe Pe terson of the Sam Peterson .& Sons company, com-pany, local and intermountain distributors distribu-tors for these famed products. "One reason for the popularity of Valvoline Val-voline oils and greases here and elsewhere," else-where," said Mr. Peterson, "Je because of their inherent gooduoss and absolute purity. This has been brought about by a sj'stem of oil refining dating back to the year 1&T3. In that year were first registered the various trad marks of the Valvoline Oil compuuy and the products of this great factory have berr on the market ever since, or a" matter of over forty years. "The Valvoline Oil company own and operate three large, modern, well equipped refineries located at Warren. Pa. Butler, Pa., and Edgewater, N. J. They control ; their supply nf Pennsylvania crude oil , and uperate over 1000 miles of their own pipe lines. I "Valvoline oils arc refined in the following fol-lowing grades: Light, extra-medium, medium, me-dium, heavy and exua-luavy. All of i those gredts aie equal as to quality. Their ! difference lies in the specifications of : their respective tests as to flash, fire, gravity, viscosity, etc., so us to provide I a. special oil to meet the particular re -I quiremonts of all types of motors." |
