Show PIONEER RESIDENT OF SALEM IS DEAD PROVO, Nov. 9. David Evans of Salem died at his home Wednesday from Bright's disease. He was born November 1, 1S47, at Sedgley, England. He became a mem ber of the Mormon church in 1868 and In 1872 emigrated to Utah. Since coming here he had made his home at Salem. In 1910 he filled a mission to England. Mr. Evans was a lover of music and possessed pos-sessed considerable musical talent. He conducted the Salem choir for twenty-five twenty-five years. He Is survived by a son, William E. Evans of Salem, and the fol lowing daughters: Mrs. Joseph W. Davis of Burley, Idaho; Mrs. John E. Fart! of Spanish Fork, Mrs. Amund Dahle of Salem, Mrs. Anna Grimm of Halt Lake and Mrs. Charles B. Fullmer of Lay ton. He is also survived by twenty-six grandchildren grand-children and six great-grandchildren. The funeral services will be held at Salem tomorrow. |
