The jttiystery of the duplicate registration regis-tration of Roy Worden Ye;.erer has been explained tnd reinains a deeper mystery than ever. Wlun the name of Roy Worden Wor-den Yeager crept Into a list of delinquents reported frcin Salt Lake City board No. 1, recently, that registrant entered earnest ear-nest protest and showed a classif icatioii card to hack up his stafements. He protected pro-tected to a newspaper and also to the draft board. At the offices of the latter, howeve?, it was stoutly maintained iha t no mistake had been made on ihe part of any clerks (hert. Cn fact, Ycnger was confronted with one card bearing the name of Roy Worden Wor-den Yeager, indicating that he had registered reg-istered September 9 at the board offices, under the belief, probably, that he would wt be in the city registration day, September Sep-tember 12. Another card was also shown to him, In handwriting that appeared to be the same, fridlcatting that Leroy Worden Wor-den V'eager had registered September 1-, at one of the regrlar registration places. This resulted in two registration cards, two serial numbers, two questionnaires sent to the one address, according to board records, and only one returned) How the man came to register twice has not been explained. |
