Show ANOTHER CARLOAD OF ELK FROM WYOMING i Utah is to get from Wyoming another carload of from twenty-five to thirty elk does for breeding purposes, R. H. Sicldo-way, Sicldo-way, stale fish and game commissioner, announced yesterday. It will require between and $400 to bring the elk here from Wyoming, it Is estimated by Mr. Siddoway. and sportsmen sports-men of the state will be usked to contribute con-tribute to this fund. A. L. Heaston. chief deputy to the state fish and game commissioner, started out yesterday to ohlain subscriptions to the elk fund, one sportsman in Bingham having headed the list with $5. The elk will come from the Yellowstone Yellow-stone National park upon permission received re-ceived from Washington, and the fund now being taken up is to pay transportation transpor-tation and other -expenses. It is Mr. Siddoway's Intention to extend the elk preserves of the state and the imported animals will be sent to districts favorable for their rapid increase. |
