C. nine, now with H company, 161st infantry detachment, "Somewhere In France": ' We are going to have considerable ball club in this company, if the ground ever dries up enough to permit per-mit the athletes to gambol o'er the lea. I am bunking with Al Schinkle, who hurled for Salt Lake last season, sea-son, and your old friend Len Hollywood Holly-wood is in the company also. Schink has plenty of hop on his fast one, too. One misses the old batting practice. Carl Mitze, veteran catcher, signed with the Oaks yesterday. Danny Murray also called and said the hand that he hurt on the head of Casey Smith was all right now, so he, too, will likely be in the fold soon. If he does, the Oaks will start where they left off last fall, with Mitze and Murray behind the bat, with Jack Roche anxious to come back.
