Show SEEKS CUSTODY OF YOUNG DAUGHTERS Man Accuses Mother-in-law and Sister-in-law of Unlawful Detention, De-tention, j A court battle for custody of his two little daughters, whom he alleges his mother-in-law and sisters-in-law are forcibly detaining, was begun yesterday by William II. Sparks. The qirls are Evelyn Mabel and Helen Augustus Sparks. 7 and 5 years of age, respectively. Their mother. Mrs. Mabel C. Soderborg sparks, died February 25, 191S. Previously their father and mother had been divorced and the father married again. The father, in his petition filed in the Third district court, alleges that Mrs. A. C. Soderborg, grandmother of the children, chil-dren, who lives at 617 West Third North street, and her daughters, Clara Soderborg Soder-borg and Mrs, Anna Hunt, are unlawfully unlaw-fully preventing the children from coming to him. He alleges that they have no les-al claim upon the children and no claim whatsoever other than their assertion asser-tion that before her death the mother expressed ex-pressed the wish that they keep the girls. A habeas corpus order was Issued - by-Judge by-Judge Robert U. Porter of the Third district dis-trict court, returnable at 11 o'clock next S-aturday morning, March f. The defendants' defend-ants' are ordered to appear in court with the two children to show cause whv they should not be delivered to the father. |
