Show TIDE OF GOLD NOW TURNING TO AMERICA WASHINGTON, March S. The tide of gold movements In the United States has turned to net imports, after bein an outward out-ward direction since last July. The federal fed-eral reserve board reported today that in the four weeks ended February 15 exports amounted to $2,D97,000, chiefly to Mexico, Venezuela and Central America, and imports im-ports were 53.103.000, mainly from Canada, Mexico and Central and South America. Since last .Tulv 13, net gold exports have been S110.059.o6n. but they have been dwindling steadily for several months under influence of the federal reserve board's license of exports, and the efforts to conserve the huge gold supply in this country by discouraging foreign shipments. |
