Spencer Spen-cer chairman of the general committee in charge of the McCormaek Red Cross benefit concert at tho tabernacle next Thursday night, that the great singer v-Tild reach here the day before the -'concert, and that the Cleveland concert had brought the Red Cross $11,000. Mr. Spencer said that much enthusi- ' asm was manifest by all the members of the committee in charge of the McCormaek Mc-Cormaek affair, and that it was evident that everybody was doing his bit to make the event an immenst success. Whilo tickets for the McCormaek concert have been on sale only one day at the music stores, hotels and various other designated places, it was evident last night from reports received that the sale is opening auspiciously, many tickets having already been disposed of Under the plans of sale as approved bv the committee, the tabernacle is divided di-vided into sections as follows: Two dollars for each seat in the two center sections, $1.50 for each seat in the balcony, bal-cony, $1 for seats under all the balcony, the choir seats and the church officers' seats in the west end -of the building. The committee desires to state that no individual seat will be reserved, but the sections are reserved, and each section will be plainly designated on the night of the concert to avoid confusion and difficulty in seating the enormous crowds that are expected to attend. More Cases Shipped. The third shipment of completed articles arti-cles from the local chapter was made yesterday to the Mountain division headquarters at Denver, nine standard cases being . forwarded. Eight boxes contained hospital supplies and surgical dressings, and there was one case ot refugee' clothing. This makes a total of twenty-five cases sent out so far this month. Registration blanks have been received re-ceived at local headquarters to be filled out by those desiring to enter the Red jzss service either as doctor, surgeon 'or nurse. There is a demand for workers work-ers in many fields of activity, and full yif ormation can be obtained by making application at headquarters. The Copperfield auxiliary Mrs. M. VFoudebush, chairman, yesterday sent to Jfie local chapter a cheek for $211.40, this sum having been raised through dances and various other entertainments entertain-ments given for the benefit of the Red Cross. ' Mrs. Samuel B. Elbert, a member of the Denver chapter but now a resident of East Ely, Nev., was a visitor yesterday yester-day at the local headquarters. A card, dated Paris, February 13, came yesterday from Sergeant Harry M. Fahr of the 167th infantry, with the American forces in France, acknowledging acknowl-edging receipt of the Christmas packets, and expressing gratification over the deliciousness of the candy. The writer added it was difficult to obtain good candy in France. Material Given Out. ; Following is a partial list of the material ma-terial given out to the workers yesterday yester-day by the supply department: Women's Wom-en's Republican club auxiliary, six bed shirts; Woodcraft auxiliary, one bolt of gauze, twelve bed shirts; Ensign Stake Relief society auxiliary, Twelfth-Thirteeuth Twelfth-Thirteeuth ward, twelve bed shirts; Ideal Wclby auxiliary, six bed shirts; Ensign Stake Relief society auxiliary, Twenty-fourth ward, five bed shirts; Miller ward Relief auxiliary, eighteen bed shirts: Liberty Stake Relief, Third ward, twelve, bed shirts; Daughters of the Mormon Battalion auxiliary, six bed shirtB; U. C. T. auxiliary, one bolt of pajama material; Ensign State Rcliof, Twenty-first ward, twenty bed shirts. Sergeant J. D. Pyper of D company, 140th machine gun battalion, who is homo on a furlough from Camp Lewis, where hundreds of the Utah boys are stationod, said yesterday at local headquarters head-quarters that he wished to deny in the strongest possible terms reports circulated circu-lated to the effect that goods made by vthe Red Cross were sold to tho soldiers. ''We get everything we need free," he irclared, "and when a sweater is worn out we turn it in and are given another one." Of the large quantity of finished articles arti-cles turned in yesterday, the following is a partial list: Murray branch, 140 bed shirts, 120 suits of pajamas, ten pillows, i:io pairs of socks, 30 sweaters, 3053 surgical drossings.
