Show PI BANDITS SLAIN Bf TEXASRANGERS Thirteen More "to Be Accounted Ac-counted For" by Pursuing Man-Hunters. CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas, March 8. Five of thirty Mexican bandits who raided the Tom East ranch, south of Hebron-ville, Hebron-ville, last night have been killed by-posses by-posses headed by Texas rangers and thirteen thir-teen others of the band hove been located lo-cated and will be "accounted for before daylight," according to a message received re-ceived here late tonight froai Hebron-ville. Hebron-ville. None of the possemeh was injured. in-jured. Two of the bandits were killed during the day, the message said, and three were shot tonight when rangers encountered sixteen of the Mexicans fifty miles southwest south-west of Hebronville while they were milking a dash for the Rio Grande. The Mexicans. who obtained large quantities of food supplies, an automobile automo-bile and other loot at the East ranch, cut telephone wires and the raid was not reported until today. The raiders, said to be "Texas Mexicans," Mexi-cans," fired no shots and carrier their point by weight of numbers. They spoke English' and appeared to be familiar with the ranch. The pursuing posses are headed by Captain Will Wright of the Texas rangers and Sheriff Oscar Thompson and other officers of Jim Hogg county. |
