Show IOWA COPPER WORK DELAYED BY SNOWS Progress Is Resumed Now, Hovrover, and Conditions Improving, Eeports State. Because of the power line of the Iowa Copper being down on account of heavy snows, work was held up for ten days. It Is in commission again now, however, and work Is resumed in both shaft and incline with conditions steadily Improving. Improv-ing. A road was broke to the property this week and ore is now being marketed. Superintendent Scott reports small pockets pock-ets of ore encountered in the shaft, and when through the quart zite ore beds are almost sure to be uncovered. There is good news ahead for the Iowa Copper. W. R. Elliott of the Three Kings was at the property Wednesday and Thursday Thurs-day of this week. Because of delayed freight the big pump has not yet arrived, but the water in the shaft is being handled han-dled nicely with the small pump and work is being prosecuted satisfactorily. The big pump will surely be on the ground next week, and when installed water troubles will be over. The shaft is down 700 feet, and drifting may commence within the next twenty-five feet or so. Mr. Plliott is well pleased with the general gen-eral formation and is convinced that it is only a matter of a comparatively short time before ore is encountered. Park Record. |
