I HJCAGO, Sept. 27. Football sched- ules of the western conference as E well as other intercollegiate asso-mJ asso-mJ cuttions in the country were further fur-ther blasted tonight, in a new war department ruling, i whu-h probably will result in a complete rearrangement of the nation's gridiron programs. The ruling came from Colonel R. T. Rees of the army general staff, who is in supreme charge of the student army training corps, and ir specifically stipulated stipu-lated that during the month of October football players would not be allowed to leave the universities except on Saturday Satur-day afternoons. Only Saturday afternoons after-noons can be devoted to the svort, which means that it will be impossible to platoon plat-oon tests requiring out-of-town travel. During the month of November the men playing football will be permitted to leave their universities on Friday evening, but must return on Sunday evening, thus giving giv-ing them a furlough of forty-eight hours.
