Show TRAVELING SOLDIERS GIVEN REFRESHMENT Bed Cross Canteen Service Meets Train and Distributes Sandwiches and Coffee. Refreshments were served by the Red Cross canteen service to eighty-seven soldiers of Uncle Sam who passed through the city yesterdav afternoon on the Denver & Rio Grande railroad. The committee appointed to take charge of serving the soldier boys who pass through the city with lunches includes in-cludes Mrs. W. W. Riter, chairman; A. ii. Lovesy and Krnest Cayford. Twelve automobiles and thirty women are now at the service of the committee in assisting it to provide refreshments j to the soldiers. These women will be divided di-vided into units of ten, each headed by a captain. Kvery effort will be made to furnish the boys with food on a moment mo-ment 's notice. Salt Lake and Ogden canteen service committees are in cloc and constant touch with each other, so that no duplication dupli-cation of mealjwill be possible. |
