"In the center of the richest oil-producing territory in the world I have purchased pur-chased for the company, the deal being concluded this morning, a forty-acre tract of oil land, upon which there are two producing wells with a daily output of 200 barrels of petroleum. It is a splendid buy for us." This information was conveyed to the general offices of the Montana-Wyoming Oil company yesterday in a telegram from A. B. Carstensen, secretary-treasurer ot the company, who has been in California for the past several weeks looking over properties on which the company had options. Continuing, the telegram said; "Our purchase is in the Midway-Sunset oil field, is patented property and not included in-cluded in any withdrawal order either of former President Taft or by congressional action. It was the property of the Brad Oil company of Vancouver, a Canadian company, and In the very center of one of the greatest gusher fields m the world. One welj, located a distance of six miles from our purchase, the Lakeview, flowed over 6000 barrels per day. The two wells now producing on the property produce L'OO barrels per day, but experts in the oil world declare that this output can be largely increased when the wells are cleaned out, which will be done at once. In addition, there is room for ten more wells on the property, and these will be drilled as rapidly as possible.
