Show CELEBRATION FOR RECRUITS PLANNED Young Men Cliosen in Tooele County for the Army Are to Ee Honored. Special to The Tribune. TOOELE, Sept. 1. The committees in charge of the celebration to be held in .this city on Labor day in honor of Tooele Too-ele county's young men who were chosen in the selective draft to enter the national na-tional army are about complete. Invitations Invi-tations have been sent to all parts of the county requesting all the young men chosen to make up the Tooele quota to join in the celebration and make it one of the largest events held In this city. The soldier boys stationed at the International In-ternational smelter will be among the honorary guests. The citizens of the city have been requested to decorate tneir homes and places of business in the national na-tional colors lor the event. The cele- oraiion wm comprise a parade in the morning, followed by patriotic services held at 1 o'clock on the lawn of the South ward meeting house. The programme pro-gramme will be as follows: Music, Tooele Too-ele Military band; Introduction of the chairman. Mayor Peter M. Clegg; address of welcome, Chairman C. Alvin Orme; selection, male chorus; oration, Judge Joshua Greenwood of Salt Lake City: selection, se-lection, male chorus; response for recruits. re-cruits. Dr. B. W. Black; selection, male chorus. Following the services the soldier boys will be the guests at a large banquet served in the opera house. In the evening eve-ning a dance will Vie given In the opera house, and the public Invited to attend. |
