Show COMMUNITY CENTER WOJRK IS COMPLETE Thousands of Quarts of Canned Fruits and Vegetables Await Orders From Eed Cross Quarters. Yesterday marked the termination of the community center work that has been conducted at the various public schools in the city during the past summer sum-mer months. Thousands of quarts of canned fruits and vegetables have been prepared for the soldiers, and will be stored at the community central quarters in the L. D. 8. university until orders are received from the national lied Cross headquarters as to their disposition. disposi-tion. Exhibits of the work done at the community centers were held in the windows win-dows of the Utah Lijrht & Power company com-pany during the past week. A milk display, dis-play, showing the correct uses of milk, cheese, butter and buttermilk, was also held at the offices of the Denver & Rio Grande railroad company at Third South and Main streets. Both of these exhibits were under the charge of Mrs. C. H. McMahon, Mrs. Frances Bacon and Mrs. Janetta Hyde. The canned fruit and vegetable, exhibit will be transferred this week, beginning tomorrow, tomor-row, to the display windows of the Utah Gas & Coke company. |
