Show ALLEGED BOOTLEGGER RELEASED ON BOND Special to The Tribune. OGDEN, Sept. 1. P. P. Perry, convicted on a charge of bootlegging and sentenced to serve six months in the county jail, was released this afternoon, his case having hav-ing been appealed to the district court. Terry's attorneys had previously filed application ap-plication for a writ of habeas corpus and a hearing was held before Judge A. E. Pratt this morning, but the application probably will be dismissed as a result of the later action. Judge George Barker, who sentenced the-bootlegger to six months in the county jail, approved his appeal bond in the sum j of $360. The bond is signed by George Terry, the defendant's father, and Ben Kolin. On the order of Judge Barker, Terry was released by Sheriff H. C. Peterson this afternoon. |
