Show RECORD fflTI FOR THE M1GHIGAN-UTAH Company Has Settled for Fifty-nine Cars of Ore During August. Norman V. Haire, president find general gen-eral manager of the Michigan-Utah mine of the Alt a Cotton woody, yesterday made the following official statement: The Michigan-Utah Consolidated Mines company settled for fifty -nine railroad cars of ore during the month of August. This is the greatest amount of ore ever shipped in any one month by this company. During Dur-ing the month of August the company com-pany was under an embargo for six days, during which time it was not permitted to ship any ore. Besides that, there was difficulty in obtaining cars from the railroad company during dur-ing the entire month; otherwise, the total shipments should have reached more than eighty carloads of ore. The company's bins at Tanner's and other available places at the mine contain ore ready for shipment, ship-ment, besides there is quite a tonnage ton-nage ' still remaining at Wasatch. For the last three days railroad service ser-vice has been very satisfactory. For example, on Tuesday, the 2fith. three ' cars of ore want to , the smelter; on Wednesday, the 29th, four cars and on Thursday, the 3uth, three cars, making- ten carloads in three days for Michigan-Utah. The Denver &. Rio Grande Railroad company has promised better service In the car line and apparently Is keeping its -word. The Michigan-Utah Consolidated Mines company Is making money. The month of September should be even better than August In the way , of ore production. |
