Show MEMORANDUM TELLS ATTITUDE OF YALE IN PRESENT CRISIS NTvYV HAVEN, Conn., March 27. A memorandum of the attitude of Yale university uni-versity In the present crisis was issued today. In case of a declaration of war or of other national emergency requiring military training or service by a large proportion of the students, all intercollegiate intercol-legiate athletic events for the remainder of the present university year will be cnncelled. The university will remain open and carry on its regular activities in case of war. No change is contemplated ,in vacations, va-cations, examinations or commencement unless the government should require use of buUdinsfs or equipment. Students, unless called elsewhere, are expected to remain at regular work, volunteering: vol-unteering: for the units organized in the university if they desire to do so and with their parents' permission. Those having leave of absence because of orders from the government will be given credit toward a degree for satisfactory satis-factory work in the military or naval unit with which they serve. |
