Show OFFENDERS AGAINST GAME LAWS TAKEN Four Adults and as Many Juveniles Arrested Sunday by State Commissioner Commis-sioner and His Deputies. Violators of the Utah fish and game laws found Fred W. Chambers, commissioner commis-sioner of this department, and his deputies depu-ties especially active Sunday, and are now facing the probability of stiff fines as a result. Late yesterday afternoon there had been reported at the capitol the arrest of four juveniles and four adults. Karl Savage and Fred Paschal, juveniles, juve-niles, were arrested by Deputy Wardens Joseph Smith and R. S. Terry for shooting shoot-ing linnets with a shotgun in the vicinity vi-cinity of Williams lake. They will be taken before Judge i J. Milne, judge of the juvenile court. There is no open season on linnets in Utah, as this species is regarded as especially valuable in destroying de-stroying Insect pests and is also of the songster class. Commissioner Chambers was busy himself him-self in Weber county. He arrested Joe Rouse, a foreigner, for shooting rabbits without a license and John Groot, Arthur Groot and L. Marriott, adults, for fishing without a license. Deputy William Bingley arrested B. Downey and Conrad Davis, juveniles, for fishing in Williams lake without a license. |
