Show UNIVERSITY GRID SQUAD INCREASES Football candidates at the University of Utah increased In number considerably yesterday. In addition to some ten freshles who donned the moleskins for the first time this year, several new varsity candidates appeared in suits. Dog Doug-i Doug-i lass was the only regular of last year who was among this number. All Thorum land ("nance Whitney, representatives of the 1 nio Infant eleven, and Gardner of Jordan, who entered the university at midyear last winter, reported. Captain Van Pelt has not yet Bbowcd un Harold Kay, the star player of the freshman eleven last fall, has decided to attend college again and will bo out for practice today. Charley McGlll, another midyear student, is expected to return. He is now in Park City. The freshmen were well represented yesterday. Jock Jordan and Andy Caffey bf the West high school, Lee Prouse. Glen Holt and Roland Kelly of the East high school and Iceland Jorgensen of Jordan Jor-dan are fomo of the local high school graduates. Allen Lynch a big fellow romin- from Nebraska, where he played for several years on high school teams, is another member of the squad. |
