Show BaPfiST CONVENTION DElffiilTKllIS Representative Gathering to Open at Bethel Church Tomorrow Morning. Delegates began arriving yesterday to attend the Baptist convention, which will formally open at the Bethel Baptist Bap-tist church, Is'inth Mouth and Lincoln avenue tomorrow morning. Other delegates, dele-gates, in fact the larger portion of Ollt-ii.ie Ollt-ii.ie delegates, live expected to reach the fity tuday.- I'uo se&siuus will continue lor three davs. There will be a preconvention pastors' institute held at the Bethel Haptist church at 1 o'clock this afternoon. after-noon. This is the first time a pastors' institute has been held here and it is expected to prove of much interest aud value to the pastors who will be in attendance at-tendance upon the convention. It is expected that the convention will be attended by delegations from most of the larger cities of Utah aud there will be prominent Baptist ministers minis-ters in attendance from outside states. Delegations will conic from Ogden, Eureka, Moab, Pleasant Green, Cartield, Murrv, Provo and Tremonton. The Eureka delegation, headed by the Rev. Mr. Johnson, arrived in the city last night. Tlie Jloab delegation under the Rev. Air. Bencer is expected early this morning and the Pleasant Green aud Garfield delegations headed by the Rev. F. J. Patterson also is due this morning. The Hev. George F. Lowe heads the Ogden delegation. The Bev. B. F. Bronson, of the Kio Grande Baptist church, will be the entertaining pastor for the convention and the delegates dele-gates will be furnished luncheons by the women of the Baptist churches of the city. Among the noted Baptist divines who will attend the convention are Dr. J. D. Spriugston, of Portland, tire., who is Pacific coast secretary of the American Amer-ican Baptist Publication society; Dr. T. L. Ketman, Chicago, district superintendent super-intendent of tho publication society; Dr. W. A. Woodv, Portland, Ore., home mis-sious mis-sious secretarv of the Pacific division ; W. H. Bowler of Boise City and tdie Bev. C. L. Trawin of Boise. The Bethel church will provide lodging, lodg-ing, breakfast and dinner free to all accredited delegates to the convention. Each church in the state is entitled to three delegates for each fifty members and an additional delegate for each twentv-five members in excess of fifty. There will be three sessions of the convention daily morning, afternoon and evening. The opening session will be held at 9 o'clock tomorrow morning, the afternoon session at 1:45 and the evening meeting at 7:30.
