Show COURT VACATION IS TO BEGIN JULY 14 Creditors of Dry G-oods Merchant File Involuntary Bankruptcy Proceedings Proceed-ings Against' I. Rosenthal. Judge Tillman D. Johnson of the federal district court has announced that the summer vacation for his court will bein July 14 and continue until September. The smelter smoke case was adjourned yesterday afternoon to enable the judge and witnesses to visit certain farm lands near Murray where it is alleged by the plaintiffs that damage dam-age was done the crops .by the smoke of the smelters. Tn the morning the creditors of D. Rosenthal, proprietor of the Golden Eagle dry goods store, filed a petition to have him adjudged a bankrupt under involuntary proceedings. Tho creditors are the J. K. Dayton company, which claims an account of $-154.50, tho Buckskin Buck-skin Manufacturing company, claiming $340. b'5, and the Orn stein & Rice company, com-pany, which alleges debts due of $100. 2R. Matt A. Gardner, a farmer of Silver City, filed a petition for voluntary bankruptcy, placing his assets at $1550, all claimed exempt, and his liabilities at $1050. John W. Armstrong, a laborer of Salt Lake, likewise filed a petition for bankruptcy. He avers that he owes $426.85 and possesses but $25 worth of household goods, for which he claims exemption. |
