This was the statement made by Katherine Van Alstyne in the corridor of tho city and county building yesterday, yester-day, and it referred directly to D'Arcy Van Alstyne, a 14-year-old lad, and to Guy Van Alstyne, the husband and father, fa-ther, brought into the case. Yesterday the case was transferred trans-ferred from the division of Judge G. G. Armstrong to that of Judge C. W. Morse, but after brief motions the case was continued until Tuesday morning. In the meantime Mrs. Van Alstyne has added to the sensationalism of the suit by summoning Blanche Lee TageTt to answer to a charge of alienation of affection and to pay $25,000 damages. Attorney A. B. Irvine, one of the defendants de-fendants named in the petition, in .answer .an-swer asked that the petitioner, Katherine Kather-ine Van Alstyne, be ordered by the court to refrain from any attempt to see the boy until the hearing. In an argument between counsel for the two sides the order asked for was given and agreed to. Later Mr. Irvine stated that an attempt at-tempt to entice the bov away from the custody of Mrs. Belle Bennion had been made as late ago as Saturday Inst. The bov in the courtroom talked freely, saying say-ing that he did not wish to go with his stepmother. In the filing of the suit against Blanche Lee Tagert, charging the alienation alien-ation of the affections of Guy Van Alstyne, Al-styne, Mrs. Van Alstyne says she will introduce the testimony of private detectives de-tectives who have shadowed the defendant. |
