Show MUSICIAN DEMANDS RETRACTION BY UNION Special to The Tribune. OGDEN, July 7. Asserting- that the of-i.cers of-i.cers of the musicians' union have done him an Injustice in their published statement state-ment by declaring- he was expelled from the local union. E. W. Nichols, director of the State Industrial School band, has issued a demand through the newspapers that a correction be made. This is the band director's statement: To the Musicians' Union of Ogden City I quote from the morning; pa-pers: pa-pers: "In order that the public may know where the grievance lies, we would state that the leader, E. W. f Nichols, being an expelled member of - the union, with innumerable fines placed against him for infractions of the rules that he solemnly obligated himself to adhere to, " I demand that you correct the above falsehood and tell the public whether I am a resigned or an expelled member mem-ber and whether, at the time of my resiRnation, I was in good standing in your union. |
