Show WAITING FOR CASH FROM SALT LAKE Special to The Tribune. DENVER, Sept. 17. A pretty, stylishly gowned young woman was arrested at a i cafe here early this morning on the j charge of failure to pay for a room which , she had occupied for more than a week at the Hotel Albany, where she registered regis-tered as Miss Alice Montgomery. Her arrest was brought about by the Hotel-men's Hotel-men's Protective association. As she admits ad-mits that she is a married woman, it is presumed she registered under an assumed as-sumed name. When arraigned before Justice Rice, the young woman secured a continuance of a week. She was highly indignant lover Her arrest, which she characterized i as an outrage. "I had not tho remotest 1 idea of defrauding the hotel," paid the j voung- lady, "and somebody will pay I mighty dear for this outrage. Tt is true I owe for my room, but I was watting I for money from Salt Lake City." Mips ' Montgomery declared she had friends I who would come to her'rescue. and added I that it was nobody's business who she I was. |
