Mr. Pomoroy was iormerly manager of the Diamond Tire branch in this city before tho consolidation with the Oioodrich branch. He remained re-mained with tho new company until the consolidation was completed and now goes to tho coast to resume his duties with tho Diamond branch of that city. Carl Lewis, odicial demonstrator of tho .Cartorcar company, is spending a few weeks with tho Cartercar Utah company. While hero ho will give some difficult' ami interesting demonstrations for the local concern. R. M. Austin of the Austin Tiro & Rubber company, is constructing a now tire at his plant which it is believed will creato a sensation in local automobile auto-mobile circles. The tiro is tho invention inven-tion of .J. T, Clark of this city and the inventor believes ho has solvod tho puncture problem. As soon as the tire is completed it will be put on exhbii-t.ion. exhbii-t.ion. H, W. Smith of the Botterill company's com-pany's supply department lef.t for Don-ver Don-ver Saturday. Mr. Smith's visit to Denver will bo for the purpose of studying study-ing tho automobile accossory business in that city, also tho perioral garago business, to obtain new ideas and suggestions sug-gestions for tho betterment of Bottorill service. Tho Voile Auto company joined tho list of big automobile concerns in bait Lake during tho past week. Thomas 10. Kelly, formerly of Omaha, conies to Salt Lako to lake charge of tho now concern. Tho company has aot yet decided de-cided upon a location, but has several in view and will probably decide upon ono tho coming week. The Velio car is well known in Stilt Lake and surrounding sur-rounding territory as it was a leader with the Consolidated Wagon & Machine Ma-chine company for a number of years. Mr. Kelly mis' :i car load of 101U models en routo from tho factory to Salt Lake, which will be placed upon exhibition as soon as received. R. E. Cambell of tho Cambcll Auto company is among tho Salt Lakers who attended the Chicago show last week. Ho wires his company that ho will' be home the coming week. It is his intention inten-tion to visit several eastern factories while away and incidentally try to hurry hur-ry up the Overland factory on its deliveries de-liveries to this territory. Tho Randall Dodd company reports visits from two out of town dealers tho past week. They were Alma Van Wagon of Provo and Jid W. Mooney of Pocatollo. Both took carloads of Buicks homo with them. . Manager Wright of tho Wright Mo-j Mo-j tor Car company is busy circulating somo interesting literature among the Midland trailers of Salt Lake. Th'o Pathfinder company has printed a booklet book-let with photos showing many famous scenes along tho Midland route. Information was received this wook from the const to the effect that E. L. iritdman, formorly connected with tho Diamond tire -branch in this city, had been promoted to tho position of manager man-ager of the Goodrieh-Diamond branch in Oakland, Cal. T. M. Brow n;well of tho -Cartercar Utah company made a flying trip through southern Utah the past week. While away Mr. Browmwoll got a linoup on several now sub-agonts to handlo the Cartercar this season. Ho reports business busi-ness prospects the best. The Studebakor company has had a busv week with sub-agents.
