Show BURT & CARLQUIST HI liH HID Extensive Projects and Plans for. Development of Land Keep Firm Busy. The moderating of the weather has startod the rush for farm lands. Stirring Stir-ring times has been the rule with Burt & Carlquist company during the past week in the farm "laud sales department depart-ment of its business, which has rccentU been enlarged to include the selling of farm lands outside of the immediate vicinity of Salt Lake City. Hereafter, in add'itiou to its regular real estate brokerage department, which sells all classes of real estate in .Salt Lake City and county, and their home building department, which builds homes, to suit on easy terms, tho company has opened a colonization department which will handle farm lands outside of Walt Lake Pity. 0. H. Carlquist is the member of the' company wiio. together with four members of the- sales "force, will bo engaged en-gaged in this branch of their work during dur-ing Iho summer. This department, will handle two large projects this vcar; one being the "Wheatland tract" of 12,-000 12,-000 acrc3, located near Slrevell in Ihe northwestern piirt of the state on thf lino of the new. Salt Lake &. Idaho railroad. rail-road. The survoying now being done and as soon as it is completed an opening open-ing will bo announced. Air. Carlquist says that there is already an extensive waiting list of Imyors, although as yet no advertising has been done. This indicates, ho says, that there is a general gen-eral knowledge of the wonderful success suc-cess which has been achieved by wheat raisers on the non-irrigated lands in the northern section of the state. The other projnet which the company will handle is an irrigated tract of 1800 acres located jn the Blue Creek valley uear Howell, Utah. This is in tho heart of a famous nou-irrigatnd section of 50,000 acres of land. Two sales were consummated in this tract during the week, one of 120 acres to W. 11. Stout and one of fort' acres to Clarence Clar-ence kelson. Two members of the company, Messrs. A. W. Steele and W. A. PofcUt, aro at Blackfoot, Ida., closing a deal for a large apple orchard. According to the views of this company, tho outlook out-look for Ihe sale of farm lands ia tho best that over has been in the slate. |
