Show JOYCE IS TRYING FOR INTERNATIONAL MEET BALTIMORE. Md.. March S. President Jerome J Joyce of tho Aero club or Baltimore, which is making a strong effort ef-fort to secure the International aviation meet of 1010 for College Park, Md.. tonight to-night made public a letter he had written writ-ten to Cortlundt F. Bishop, president of the American Aero club of America, regarding re-garding the possible selection of Long Island ns the site. Reference Is made to Mr. Bishop's offer of-fer of $5000 If the meet should bo held In New York and Mr. Joyce says while Mr. Bishop was the guest of the Baltimore Balti-more club he stated ho would not assume the responsibility of a decision as to the site for the meet, but would leave It to Messrs. Curllss. Wright and Piiulhau. Mr. Joyce claims that he has heard from good authority that Mr. Curtlsa and Mr. Wright favor College Park and that "President Taft, members of his cabinet, tho diplomatic corps and members or congress have honored us with their patronage and manifested tho deepest interest In our success." |
