Show ABATE DOG NUISANCES. That the barking, yelping dogs which chaso vehicles along tho streets aro a nuisance, no ono will don3'. That thoy aro homeless and ownerless is probablo. The kindest thing, then, to do for them is to quictiy put them out of tho wtiy, as the Chief of Polico has directed. To do if is to rid tho public of a nois3' annoyance. Then comes Food Inspector Waller J. Frnzicr, who asks that dogs bo kept out of moat shops, groceries, arrd like places. All who nolo what dogs arc apt lo do in such places will cordial' endorse this plea of Mr. Frazicr's. With dogs having fho frco run oT. places of suppiy such ns theso nainod, it is impossible im-possible lo bo sure of avoiding tho foulest, foul-est, contamination. Wo don't .bcliovc in an3 indiscriminate indiscrim-inate or cruel warfare on dogs. Wo recognize tho joy of having a good dog as fully as nn.y ono can. Wo appreciate as fully as anv ouo can, fho value of a dog of fino points and high breeding. But dogs should not bo allowed to become be-come a nuisanco and lo contaminate food supplies. Tho moves of the Chief and of fho Food Inspector arc good, each in its place; and wo trust that both will bo carried out with earnestness and in thorough style. |
