Show BURWL SERVICE FOR JAMES P. DRSSCDLL Large Concourse Attends Obsequies Ob-sequies of Highly Popular Po.sfmaster of Eureka. After Impressive services In St. Mary's cathedral Saturday afternoon, James P. Drlscoll, postmaster of Eureka, was burled In Mount Calvary cemetery. The funeral was the largest that has been held in Salt Lake for some time, moro than fifty vehicles and two trolley cars being required to convey the concour&o of mourners from tho cathedral lo the cemetery. Services began In the cathedral at 2 o'clock. Tho Rev. Father Timothy L5ren-nan. L5ren-nan. assisted by acolytes, performed the beautiful ceremony of blessing the ro-maino, ro-maino, after which Father Brennan gave nn eloquent, addross. Four voices from St: ' .. ." : '.Hi :' JAMES P. DEISCOLL. the cathedral choir sang "Lead. Kindly Light. ' and 'Nearer. My God. lo Thee." Mrs. Kathleen Fltzpatrlck Atkins and Miss Alice Farrell tang "Rose of the Cross." by Bordose. Miss Nora Gleason played tho funeral march by Chopin. The handsome casket was almost coveted cov-eted by floral tributes. There was a solemn sol-emn hush as tho body of the honored dead was carried to tho hearse, and sorrow sor-row wa3 vislblo upon tho countenance of every one In the vast assemblage. The pallbearers were .1. D. Sullivan. J. D. Stack. Joseph Hannifin. John W. Hurd, Daniel Martin. Patrick Fonnoll. George Hayes and Augustus Henroid. Honorary pallbearers were 13. G. O'Donnell. Edward Pike. Watson Ncsblt, J. C Sullivan. Hector Frazler, John Quillen, James Knowlos and Hugh Ilcfferman. About 100 persons came from Eureka for the express purpose of attending the funeral. Two brothers of tho decedent came from Michigan. One of them, C. B. Drlscoll, Is superintendent of construction construc-tion for the Consolidated Oliver Mining company at Negaunce, Mich., and the other is M. C. Drlscoll of Hubbell, Mich., one of the superintendents for the Calumet Calu-met &. Hccla Mining corporation. Some of thoso who camo from Eureka to be present at the obsequies aro: J. E.
